Safety

Safety is paramount both within our manufacturing facility and when operating on site. During the design of our products particular attention is paid to the safety of the installers and personnel who will be involved in the future operation and maintenance of equipment. To maintain our excellent safety record we employ a full time safety officer who constantly monitors safety issues and ensures that the best safe practices are adhered to.

Environmental Management System

ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System
Hydrok (UK) Ltd achieved registration in December 2010. Our scope includes the sales, design, distribution and installation management of wastewater processes and water management systems. We are registered with the Environment Agency under The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 as an Upper Tier Carrier Dealer. We incorporate the ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ philosophy to minimise our waste streams. In addition to monitoring our company carbon footprint, we also identify the carbon footprint of our in house designed stainless steel screens.

Quality Assessment

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
Our quality management system has been in place for ten years; all processes, from initial sales, through design and manufacture, distribution and installation activities are closely monitored and audited by a dedicated Quality Manager. We are committed to improving the standards of quality throughout the company through an integrated programme of training for our entire workforce.
NICEIC Approved Contractor : National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC)
Hydrok (UK) Ltd is registered with the NICEIC as an Approved Contractor. Registration demonstrates that our qualified electrical personnel meet the highest technical and safety standards, codes of practice and competency.
COMPEX : Potentially hazardous and explosive atmospheres –
Based upon the IEC Standards, primarily 60079: 10; 14 & 17, CompEx is the global solution for Competency Validation and Certification for electrotechnical and mechanical craftspersons working in potentially hazardous or explosive atmospheres.

Our personnel have completed Unit’s EX09 and EX10 which are specific to the water industry:

  • Unit EX09 – the Preparation & Installation of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres within the water industry.
  • Unit EX10 -the Inspection, test and maintenance of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres within the water industry
CEMARS* : Certified Emissions Measurement and
Hydrok (UK) Ltd has been awarded certification to the world class, ISO accredited CEMARS standard by the Achilles Carbon Reduction Programme. Certification demonstrates Hydrok’s commitment to measuring, managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in a robust and credible way. Our target is to reduce emissions intensity annually by 2.5%. Key targets set by Hydrok (UK) Ltd to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the coming years include a fuel efficiency project for company vehicles, electricity efficiency project for offices and factory and closer liaison with our suppliers to reduce road freight use.
