Hydrok ‘Pop Up’ Control Kiosk

The Hydrok ‘Pop Up’ Control Centre kiosk has been designed to meet the growing need for reduced
environmental impact in the designated location and to offer enhanced security from vandalism,
protecting all sensitive equipment in a protective, below ground chamber.

The kiosk is designed to fit into a standard manhole chamber beneath the road surface and is
fitted with water tight covers. The assembly is counter balanced to enable a single person
operation using the integral lifting system. This engineered solution is highly appropriate
where planning consent issues arise when locating a control centre near an operational chamber
as it reduces the environmental impact in the location, a factor which can cause a major problem
in gaining the required planning consent.

Once installed and operational the robust construction of the lifting assembly requires very little
maintenance and the Hydrok ‘Pop up’ Kiosk can be lowered in and out of the manhole chamber as required.
Once the kiosk is lowered into the chamber the manhole becomes sealed and water tight from above. Any
condensation and ground moisture is allowed to drain from the base of the chamber or may be pumped
depending upon ground levels and site location etc.
